DAY 19
interim 2 went smooth. We completed 90% of the work and we're mainly left with the audio part. Julian mentioned that we could have focus more on the stadium scene to make it a little more funny. But thinking back, if we would have drag the stadium scene, we would have a problem shooting that day because by the time we ended shoot, the skies were already super dark. Generally, the project was a success eventhough we had failed in our previous production. The group did very well to help each other out and had covered well if one is working etc. Good Job people !! DAY 18
DAY 18  Drag myself to school, to do the trailer. But since mark needed the edited clips for refrence to create audio, i decided to transfer all footages to hardisk to be edited at home in after effects. However, to much dissapointment, the footages smhow or rather just cant be opened. Ive already got several ideas in mind, but since i cant do it tonight, i'll just briefly jot down my concepts first before it dissapear. Friday, March 14, 2008
DAY 17
DAY 17 vanessa took over the editing, since i needed to see a doctor. and unfortunately, refered to hospital and couldnt hed back to school  thankiew soo much van! i hope the swelling knee will subside by monday. we have worked soooo hard together! Thursday, March 13, 2008
DAY 16
DAY 16 continue offline editing. Did split screens for several scenes. Added in missing footages found. Re-arranged the scenes. Sumbmission extended to next tues. A relief. Continue Editing tommorow Wednesday, March 12, 2008
DAY 15
DAY 15 Despite coming in early, we have to wait AGAIN for the whole system to be corrected before we can start accessing our folders. And just when the whole system was ok, our comp had some problems with the sound. There werent any sound coming out from the clip despite adjusting all the volume up to its max. We the have got to asked the experts for help and troubleshoot the whole thing. ( time wasted AGAIN)  since it was eating up precious time, i ended up trying to open the project in some other computer. It was unsuccessful initially but after much trial, it worked and i finally started work happily.  Just as i tought i was half done with the offline editing, another problem arises. There were several missing shots. Everyone started panicking as there was obviously no time to re-shoot as interim 2 in 2 days away. So, jk and mark went down to the store to borrow the hard drive and p2 cards which we may have borrowed previously. By then, we were already chased out of the HD lab and mark and Jk have to be at the dip show. So, van and i went up to check if our missing footage is still available. And thanx to daniel, we manage to use his laptop to check the footages and not waste time waiting for the class in imac room to end. Tuesday, March 11, 2008
DAY 14
DAY 14 Mark Jk and myself met up early to start editing the clips in the HD lab. However there were some problems logging in as well as accesing respective folders. Not wanting to waste time, since mark and jk have theri own laptops, they continued their assigned roles. Mark, the audio and jk the motion graphics. we eventually started editing ard 3 plus and only manage to finish the stadium scene since the HD lab close at 530pm. we have to rush editing tommorow. we are practically lacking time! DAY 13
DAY 13 We had the second day of shoot. Since the location planned had construstions going on, we switched to IT school. There were lesser crowd, however we had some other problems with sound. Within the area for our shoot, there is this generator creating this weird background sound. We also realise that there were no other school which has minimal bacground sound. For example, buisness school have music playing in the canteen which we can pick, engine school, the construction sounds. Even if we were to shoot at design school, the location lacks huge corridor spaces. To overcome the sound problem, at the end of shoot, we've recorded one min of ambience sound to help do some audio cancelation later in editing. Other than sound problem and the fact that the boom mike is loose, the group did'nt face much of a problem. We learnt from our lesson that we should have a various shot sizes as well as various different angle for each scene. And also not forgetting to take not of scene continuity. It would be easier for editing. We'll be meeting around 10Am tomorrow to digitise and get all the editing done. Van and i would be doing video edit, mark will be sourcing for audio to fit the clip while the rest would help out here and there. Im hoping that there wont be much problem during editing and that hings can go on smoothly, afterall, we are having time contrain. |
